B&Q lease renewal

Gilbert Bath acted for B&Q in respect of the lease renewal on their store at Tottenham Hale Retail Park.  We provided valuation advice throughout the lease renewal process under the Landlord & Tenant Act 1954 and liaised closely with solicitors and barristers.  We provided expert witness evidence at the County Court Hearing, following which the Judge awarded a rent that was over 50% below the passing rent.
